Murray, UTAH (December 13, 2023) – UTOPIA Fiber announced today the successful completion of its fiber-to-the-home build in the City of Santa Clara, Utah. The $6.7 million project, which commenced construction on May 19, 2022, has now concluded, providing ultra-high-speed broadband access to every residential and business address in the city and signaling the beginning of its expansion into southern Utah communities.

This milestone marks yet another significant achievement for UTOPIA Fiber as it adds Santa Clara as its fifth city in 2023, and 19^th city overall, with the fastest residential and business internet speeds available in the United States. The first homes were seamlessly connected to the lit fiber network on May 24, 2023, and the entire project, including 3,234 residential addresses, was completed on October 31, 2023.

Since 2009, the Santa Clara City project—like all other UTOPIA Fiber projects—has been funded and grown solely through subscriber revenue. The completion of this project further extends UTOPIA Fiber’s reach, providing residents with access to speeds up to 10 Gigabits per second (Gbps) and 100 Gbps for businesses, currently the fastest speeds offered in the United States.
