Mary Bingham is one of our many awesome staff members here at UTOPIA. The Salt Lake native started working here in 2011 as our receptionist and is now our Corporate Administrative Assistant.

As an Administrative Assistant, Mary’s main responsibilities are helping in the accounting and billing departments and keeping the whole office organized. She is always willing to step up to the plate and make sure things get done.

When Mary first started working at UTOPIA, her then boyfriend didn’t want her taking the job. “He was sure I’d be out of a job within 6 months because UTOPIA’s future was uncertain at the time,” she said. It has now been 5 years and UTOPIA is doing better than ever. Mary still remembers her first impression of UTOPIA was how awesome the people were and still are. “Everybody welcomed me and accepted me like I was part of their family,” she said. “Many of these people have helped me with so much in other aspects of my life. I have always been treated like an equal, which is a new thing for me.”

Over the years, UTOPIA has grown and evolved and Mary still loves what she does because she is continually being challenged and constantly learning. “We will definitely continue to grow. Fiber is the future and hopefully those who have yet to believe in us will realize how amazing we are and want to join in.”

Not only is Mary a proud UTOPIA employee, but a proud mother of 2 teenage boys as well. In her spare time, she loves doing crafts and has a huge love for Mickey Mouse and Disneyland. She is deathly afraid of deep water, but loves to go hiking, camping and doing anything outdoors.

Mary works hard everyday and we here at UTOPIA appreciate everything she does. Her positive can-do attitude is contagious and we can’t help but love her.
