STATEMENT FROM ROGER TIMMERMAN, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, UTOPIA FIBER, ON PRESIDENT BIDEN’S NOMINATION OF JESSICA ROSENWORCEL AND GIGI SOHN TO KEY FCC POSTS

“We’re happy to learn that President Biden has designated veteran FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworsel as Chair of the FCC, the first woman to serve in that capacity. UTOPIA Fiber looks forward to working with Chair Rosenworsel and the entire Commission to advance high-speed fiber access throughout Utah and across the country.

“We are also delighted that the President has nominated Gigi Sohn to serve the nation as an FCC Commissioner. Gigi’s unique knowledge of the broadband market and the needs of businesses and consumers, make her the perfect choice for the role. Her pragmatic approach should instill a great deal of confidence among leaders on both sides of the aisle.
