May has been an exciting month for us here at Team UTOPIA and we can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to. From the first addresses in Santa Clara being released to learning what it’s like to be a customer service rep, keep reading to stay up to date on all things UTOPIA Fiber.

Announcements

The weather is warming up, which means it’s time to turn on your sprinklers! If you’ve had your fiber installed recently and notice any damage to your sprinkler system, let us know! We will repair any damage that was caused by your fiber installation! Learn more about how to get us involved on our website here.

We are excited to announce a new addition to the UTOPIA Fiber team this month! Join us in Welcoming Sam Petersen as our new NOC intern. We are so excited to have him on the team and can’t wait to see what he accomplishes!

The first addresses in Santa Clara are officially released! We are so excited to see this project take off and to see the residents of Santa Clara get connected to reliable high-speed internet! Check out our build-out timelines page to see if you can connect today!

Footprint releases 

This has been a huge month for address releases! This month alone we have released a total of 3,560 addresses across Syracuse and Santa Clara.

In Syracuse, we completed construction on two footprints, SY001 with 1637 addresses, and SY006 with 254. We also completed phase 5 of SY002 which added another 370 available addresses to our network! In total, there were 2,261 addresses added to our network in Syracuse this month!

May has also been the month when we connected our first addresses in Santa Clara! We are excited to announce that we have completed phase 1 of SC001 with 123 addresses and phase 1 of SC002 with 1,176 addresses! This brings the number of houses available for connection in Santa Clara to 1,299.
